The house hold computers these days are pumping out mass amounts of wattage that we have previously never seen before. Along with this huge power output is in efficient energy lost due to heat. Temperature is an overclockers worst enemy not to mention the long term effect it has on your expensive computer components. There are a number of cooling options these days but the large majority use air cooling because liquid cooling and the over the top liquid helium and nitrogen cooling are way to expensive. This is where our friends at CoolIT come in to the picture with their very affordable liquid cooling option the Domino, with no messy liquids to top up or leaks to destroy your expensive hardware. Testing:

For testing the CoolIT Domino I will be putting it up against the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Tower cooler. I will be running both the air cooler and water cooler and test both the load and idle temperatures of each. I will be regulating the room temperature at 23 degrees. We will see what the whole hoopla is about water cooling and what the average person should expect as far as performance.

As I am sure you can tell 4 degrees idle and 5 degrees load difference is a very impressive drop in temps. This proves the Domino a clear winner in the battle between air and liquid cooling.

Conclusion:

Well I must say I am a CoolIT fanboy after this review previously the only CoolIT product I have ever used was their drink cooler that was given out at a publicity thing back I n my overclockersclub days. (Desja was my handle for those of you interested in being nostalgic). This factory sealed water cooler out performed my wildest dreams. I never actually thought it would do much better than an air cooled tower CPU cooler. It was almost like a sleeper car, all stock and unimpressive in size on the outside but when you put your money down and race you realize they were sporting a tricked out nos injected power house as your hopes and dress (and money) dash to pieces when they fly past you. Don’t worry Cooler Master it wasn’t a fair fight you can still hold your head up high. When it comes to liquid versus air liquid wins every time.

Would I recommend this product? How could I not. With some of the Noctua coolers ringing in at the same price and some times higher; seeing a liquid cooling system in the same price range is a no brainer. If you are serious about cooling go buy one, right now, no seriously I am done just go, get off your ass already and stop reading. NOW!

Now for those of you that stayed that aren’t easily manipulated into buying I will show you the Pros and Cons
