Notebooks and Netbooks are taking over where the desktop left off. The compact simple to use design makes them somewhat superior to the desktop. There are some exceptions to the rule however, Notebookes and Netbooks run much hotter than a PC thus opening way for the need of a Notebook cooler. This need has spawned a virtual cornucopia of potential cooling candidates and makes competition fierce. The people at cooler mast have found the balance not only have the designed a nice ergonomic Notebook cooler but they have also built carrying ability into the design making it smarter than your average bag. Unfortunately I was unable to get my hands on a small enough laptop to test the cooling pad thoroughly. We all have 17inch or larger laptops. I did use the Ergonomic Metal Sleeve 14 inch Notebook Cooling Pad and checked out the temps and even on my 17 in there was a difference between it and my desk but the Choiix was designed for 14 inch and smaller and it would not have been an accurate test of what you may accomplish with your laptop. That being said over all I love the idea of the Choiix notebook cooler it is a fantastic mix of form and function and it breaks the mold a little when it comes too notebook coolers now that you need to drag with you everywhere and end up being cumbersome.

Would I recommend this product? Absolutely, it is a great idea and I would love to see a larger version released for all of us with larger laptops. As of right now it is a perfect choice for some one that is on the go a lot. Great job Cooler Master!
