The concept thats baffled and intrigued us since we were infantile whippersnappers. Technology has come an insanely long way since our parents carried phones the size of small monkeys and it’s only becoming more and more promising. Powermat has recently spread awareness on a revolutionary new break-through in technology know as magnetic induction charging. Curious? I bet you are so read on!

Conclusion:

The Powermat does what it says it will do and it does it fantastically. You don’t realize how much you hate plugging-in and unplugging your devices until you’ve owned this thing. This reviewer might be more excited for the possibilities that this product revealed to me. Perhaps one day all devices will have these adapters implemented into their inner hardware and desks, kitchen tables, and car dashboards will all have Powermat-like circles all over them.
Convenience and cool factor may be nice to have but with the Powermat you’ll really pay for it. To fully appreciate this product you’ll need to purchase one mat and three adapters, that’s over $190 all to wirelessly charge devices you probably got wired chargers for included in the box. Like I mentioned before, the product works and wows but during these tough economic times I can see consumers thinking twice before buying this. If you have the money, however, then all I have to say is “what are you waiting for!?”.

Pros:
    •    Wirelessly chargers most of your electronics!
    •    Comes in two models. Home & Office and Portable.
    •    Includes free universal adapter
    •    Lightweight and takes up little desk-real estate
    •    Gives you a nice peek into the future

Cons:
    •    Though many if not most the most popular electronics have device-specific adapters many are overlooked (ie. PSP GO!, Camcorders, Palm Pre)
    •    Expensive
