If you like music and you like to wear headbands, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want a Halo Headband. Once you have the speakers properly positioned and once you are wearing the Halo Headband you don’t even notice that they are any different from any other headband you might wear. I was actually quite impressed by the sound quality of the little speakers that come with it. While not having the sound quality of super high end audiophile headphones, these are definitely near the top of my list f good sounding headphones. Because of the flat design of the speakers I found that there was no pressure on my ears and found that wearing the Halo Headband was quite comfortable. I found them to be so comfortable that I actually was able to fall asleep quite easily even while lying down. Let’s take a closer look at this unique headband:

Let's move on to some testing:
Testing:
Seeing as how the Halo headphones is more for on the go and activity use, I figured that it would be a good idea to connect the halo headphones to my PSP and try it out using a variety of medias.
Gaming:
I understand that this might not exactly be one of the main uses of the Halo headphones but I thought why not try them out while gaming. While playing the first game I tried I was a little unimpressed, then after realizing that I had never listened to that game before and clued in that that’s how it was suppose to sound I moved on to some others. I tried a few others and was quite impressed, while some hand held games don’t exactly sport the best in music and sound effects, I found that my gaming experience was quite enjoyable while also being extremely comfortable.

Videos:
With the Halo headphones I found the sound of the few videos I tried to be quite good. While I found the Halo headphones to have a slightly lower level, and I mean slightly, insignificant almost in the grand scheme of things, as some other head phones in the same price range. I still have to say that I would prefer these over the Sony headphones I have now, simply because after extended use I sometimes find My Sony Headphones to get a little uncomfortable while I found that the Halo headphones never become uncomfortable.

Music:
So I know that some might use the Halo headphones for the previous categories but I am sure music is what most people will be using it for. For this I will be tried many different types of genres and will be listening to the overall sound quality. While listening to music with heavy bass I found that the bass hits weren’t quite as deep as I like them to be but personally I haven’t ever found any headphones that delivered the deep bass hits that I prefer anyways. As far as some faster music (i.e. punk) I found that I sounded much better than I thought it would. Even though the speakers seem small and quite flat, they still secretly contain some high quality 36mm drivers and in turn actually kept up really well. Now as far as some easy listening went I put on some of my favorite relaxing music and found that the experience was so soothing, so relaxing that after awhile I fell asleep. Later once I woke up I found myself still listening to the same relaxing music, and because I found the Halo headphones was so comfortable I forgot I was wearing it and o was trying to figure out where the music was coming from. Because of this I really enjoyed using the Halo headphones.
Let’s move on to my final thoughts:
Conclusion:
So in the end I guess I have to say that I liked the Halo Headphones. Personally I am not a headband wearing person, but these just might have changed that. Since Lately I have been working outside in the hot sun more and more, I have found that I have been wearing a bandanna under my hat and that the Halo Headphones fit comfortably under all this and I found that this made my days of baking in the sun a lot more enjoyable. However I still don’t think that I am going to personally wear them just as a headband that often. However I am Canadian and one of the many things we are known for is for wearing toques or as some call them, beanies. I found that with a few slight alterations that I could make my favorite winter headwear into the most comfortable set of headphones I had ever used.
So would I recommend these? While for some, like me, who don’t really like to wear headbands this might not be for you. That’s not saying that just because you don’t like wearing head bands that you should avoid these like the plague. To tell you the truth these started making me change my mind about why I don’t wear headbands. So if you wear headbands while you workout, you’re jogging, snowboarding, or what have you, then the Halo headphones just might be for you. This would also make a great present if you even know somebody that likes headbands.
Pros:
- Extremely comfortable
- Reasonably Priced
- Sound good
Cons:
- The “To Device” Cable Could Be A Little Longer
